Death 2 WoW!

I might as well say that I am now mainly focusing on bringing down the World of Warcraft (not that I believe I can succeed). Today, I'm going to talk about "Cyber World vs. Real World".

The idea of the "cyber world" is one of the reasons why World of Warcraft is so popular. It's like you are living in a whole different yet much more interesting world. In the cyber world, it's much easier to interact with people and simpler to get things done. One can go to the market and get his/her character good armors or weapons, or one can just go to the auction house and buy stuff. You see, Blizzard created this huge cyber world where people can interact and do interesting stuff. Very smart idea because people love the idea it.

What makes the cyber world dangerous is that it's so much different from the "real world". People tend to forget that they belong to the real world which is very idiotic yet popular. I was one of those people who enjoyed having the second identity. I felt like I could do anything and say anything I wanted. I regret that alot nowadays because I could have done much more important things other than pretending I'm someone else. WoW is all about having a second identity and most of people who are addicted consider themselves "the outsiders".

The games such as Guild Wars and Lord of the Rings Online are no different than WoW but WoW is the front runner of creating this illusion. Over 8 million people play the game and I think it's safe to say that more than half of those people are at least play more than 4 hours. The question here is that "what kind of fool would want to spend more time as someone else rather than being who you are?" For me, the answer is easy. Those who give up their life to spend most of their time in the cyber world. The only thing I can say at this point is................ DEATH TO WORLD OF WARCRAFT!!
